Oh the good old days of caffeine. 6 months ago I quit soda cold turkey and I have noticed so many benefits of this decision until last night. I remember the days of finals week going through my 24 pack of diet coke like it was nothing or Jessie and I drinking a nice big cold caffeinated beverage from the 7-11 right before going to bed and not being effected whatsoever (besides the wonderful bubbly/burning sensation as it goes down your throat). But last night was not worth my body getting over its caffeine addiction anymore. Every now and then I throw down a crystal light energy drink before a workout but that is in the morning. At about 6 last night I decided to have one in between my run and teaching spin. Sure I was crazy hyper during my workout but for some reason that hyperness (yes, I did make up that word) didn't wear off until 2:30 AM!!!! I tried everything from counting down from 300 in multiples of 3 (I read somewhere that worked) to reading my book (bad idea because I am really into it and if anything it was making me even less tired) to watching the entire movie Mean Girls on my phone. It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that I had to wake up at 5:30 this morning. I am a little out of it but so looking forward to my bed, watching the bachelor and napping at exactly 5 pm 1/21/10.
P.S That is NOT our bed, and yes I was looking up comfy beds on google images counting down the minutes until nap time.
